Terminals at Southampton Airport (SOU)

There is just the one easy-to-navigate terminal at Southampton Airport (SOU), which is only a few miles from the city centre. It is the main gateway to the south of England and the holiday towns of nearby Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Poole, and the Isle of Wight. The airport handles in excess of two million flyers annually.

Most of the action at Southampton Airport's terminal is on the ground floor where there is Check-in and Arrivals. There are plenty of useful facilities throughout the airport, with ATMs, currency exchange, shopping, dining, and WiFi internet access.

Money:

there is no bank in the terminal, yet there are ATMs and a Travelex counter for exchanging currencies nearby.

Shopping:

although Southampton Airport is not awash with shopping options, there is a WH Smith newsagent's landside which comes with books and magazines, and a World Duty Free shop airside (after security). There is a range of goods in here, including alcohol, tobacco, and perfume that are tax-free for those leaving the EU.

Eating:

snacks and drinks and full meals can be had in the airport, both land and airside. There is a Starbucks coffee shop here, along with a Delice de France pastry shop and a fully-stocked bar.

Business:

there are two VIP lounges at Southampton Airport, run by British Airways and Flybe. They have complimentary snacks and drinks, newspapers, internet access and nice seating. For full business facilities, the nearby Best Western Botleigh Grange Hotel is your best bet.
